Filing your exemptions, Homestead exemptions remove part of your home's value from taxation. If you want to receive a homestead exemption for the taxes on your home, the home must first qualify as a residence homestead in which you are applying.

 

 

Before you complete the homestead application:

You MUST have a valid drivers license.
Your drivers license MUST include the address on the homestead application
If your drivers license does not meet the requirements above, please update your identification through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Once you meet all the criteria, you may complete the form below and file your exemption.
